The Cakery was founded with one goal. To provide sweet treats that don't just look good but also taste great. We use the highest quality of ingredients available to be able to create cakes and desserts that don't just appeal to your guests visually, but to their taste palette as well.

Hitasha began baking as a little girl in her mothers kitchen. She used box mixes at the time, but always tried to get her hands on tools the pros used in the TV shows she  used to watch. 

In 2010, after attaining an education in engineering, she knew she wanted a career that gave her an opportunity to be more creative. She began to bake again, orders began to come in and The Cakery was born. 

Hitasha has had the opportunity to learn from some of the best artists in the world and strives to make each cake unique and special for her clients. She works with each client personally making sure that the details from their event are incorporated into the cakes design. 

Do we have a catalog of cakes to choose from?

We do have a collection of our work, but we like to make sure that your cake is unique and special for your specific event.  To accomplish that, we ask that our clients bring in pictures of various different elements of the event so we can use it to create a cake that hasn't been seen before. 

When should I book my cake?

We do not like to rush our clients to book with us. We do, however, only work on a small number of cakes each week. We cannot guarantee pricing and availability until a contract is in place. Most of our clients contact us six to twelve months before their event. Just reach out to us as soon as you set your date and we will do our best to take on your cake! 

How much do our cakes cost?

Since each cake is different, we cannot give a general price of a cake. Each cake is priced individually based on the details and time about of time it takes to accomplish them. All of our cakes are priced per serving and not by weight. 

Do we cater to clients with dietary restrictions?

We do our best to accommodate clients with dietary restrictions. We have options for clients with nut and egg allergies. We also create eggless and gluten free cakes and desserts. Please reach out to us, and we would be happy to figure out desserts that work best for you and your guests.

Do you only make wedding cakes?

We create cakes for ALL occasions. Just give us a call and we would be more than happy to create a cake for your celebration!

Do you ship cakes?

Unfortunately, we cannot ship our cakes at this time. We do, however, deliver and set up all our cakes to the New York City Metro area.
